The Art of DIY with Kids
We love to try new things around here, sometimes they don’t always pan out as we planned. Today, we attempted to make some Fall Geodesic Domes, it definitely did not go as planned. We will share our wins and our losses so that you can learn from our mistakes too. This was such a neat idea and we were excited to think about how to construct something for strength. In the end, there was no strength and only some sad attempts at fall geodesic domes.
In the spirit of October and the upcoming Halloween holiday, we decided to kick off our first science experiment with Witch’s Brew. The idea of a Witch’s Brew can be adapted into many different forms but for this week, we wanted to do a quick science experiment! We are planning to make our Witch’s Brew out of baking soda, vinegar, and some food coloring!
Would you ever believe me if I told you that my kids will literally play with shaving cream for hours? And that we can do it a couple times a week and they are still just as interested? Shaving cream sensory play may just be my favorite sensory activity.
