The Art of DIY with Kids
Would you ever believe me if I told you that my kids will literally play with shaving cream for hours? And that we can do it a couple times a week and they are still just as interested? Shaving cream sensory play may just be my favorite sensory activity.
A very simple craft that can be adapted to almost any season is a sun-catcher. This may sound counterintuitive in the setting of fall and winter but there is always some sunlight coming through those windows. Today we set aside time to make some fall leaf sun-catchers.
To kick off the month of February, we celebrated the Lunar New Year. We learned about some of the traditions and reasons for the celebration. Then we learned that this year was the year of the tiger. In order to celebrate this a little more, we made a couple of tiger crafts. Come celebrate the Lunar New Year with us and make some crafts too!
