The Art of DIY with Kids
This week we created simple and fun sensory play with candy corn. Unfortunately, if you saw my last post about how to make geodesic domes, you are aware they they were not very successful. You can read it here if you would like. So we quickly pivoted and changed our plans and dumped the candy corn into our sensory bin and started to play that way.
We love to try new things around here, sometimes they don’t always pan out as we planned. Today, we attempted to make some Fall Geodesic Domes, it definitely did not go as planned. We will share our wins and our losses so that you can learn from our mistakes too. This was such a neat idea and we were excited to think about how to construct something for strength. In the end, there was no strength and only some sad attempts at fall geodesic domes.
In the spirit of October and the upcoming Halloween holiday, we decided to kick off our first science experiment with Witchโs Brew. The idea of a Witchโs Brew can be adapted into many different forms but for this week, we wanted to do a quick science experiment! We are planning to make our Witchโs Brew out of baking soda, vinegar, and some food coloring!
