4th of July Kids Craft
This year for the 4th of July, we are going to learn how to make salt art. One of my favorite ways to celebrate holidays with my kids is making holiday specific crafts. Salt art is such a fun activity and a great way to experiment with how salt absorbs the colors. It even can show how different colors mix.

Making Fireworks with Salt Painting
Salt art creates both a blending of colors but also texture in the art. One of the fun things about having some texture is that it creates some dimension for the craft. Kids typically work within 2D (think coloring books). It is also fun to watch the salt absorb the color so quickly. Salt art is a such a good activity for when kids are bored. My youngest is one and even was in on the action. Between playing with glue, pushing around salt, and painting, she also enjoyed this activity.

Easy and Affordable Salt Art
This is such a fun and affordable craft to make with kids. There are very minimal supplies and many that you have on hand. This is a simple craft that is fun for all ages! Younger kids can just put glue anywhere on the page and then paint it. Older kids can make more intricate designs and mix colors. Truthfully, even adults enjoy a good craft sometimes! So go ahead and make some art with your kids today!
